Market Insights & PDP8 Strategy
Navigating Vietnam's Power Sector Transformation
Vietnam's rapid industrialization has placed unprecedented pressure on Vietnam Electricity (EVN) grid infrastructure. Under the approved Power Development Plan 8 (PDP8), Vietnam is aggressively upgrading its distribution network to reduce grid losses, mandate higher transformer energy efficiency ratios, and accommodate industrial growth across key manufacturing corridors.
Key Procurement Mandate: All medium-voltage distribution and pole-mounted transformers deployed in Vietnam must strictly comply with TCVN 8525:2015 energy efficiency standards and withstand continuous 45°C ambient thermal stress without insulation degradation.
Our OEM/ODM manufacturing facility specializes in engineering pole-mounted distribution transformers and industrial rectifiers custom-wound to match EVN's dual 22kV and 35kV primary distribution voltages. By incorporating high-permeability Cold-Rolled Grain-Oriented (CRGO) silicon steel cores and vacuum-pressure impregnated (VPI) copper windings, our transformers achieve no-load loss reductions of up to 18% compared to standard export models.
